Health for Life is our teaching-oriented pre-health program! Run by THV under the Joint Educational Project, this program is an 8-week mini course volunteer assignment where we match undergraduate students in teams of 3-5 and have them teach health related topics at elementary and middle schools in our local community. In addition, students will participate in bioethical discussions and complete reflective writing prompts. A successful semester completion of H4L rewards the participant with an additional weighting in the lottery for THV!
This program is about a 2-3 hour per week commitment. One hour of that commitment is spent planning the lesson out with your team and the second hour is spent at site teaching the lesson to your students.
If you are interested in signing up for the program, the application period is open during the first two weeks of every semester. Please sign up in person at the JEP House.
